This is my hallway drawing. It was made on paper with pencil. One new skill I learned while making this drawing was using the vanishing point to create objects on the walls. The main art element I used in this drawing was line. I used the vanishing point to create designs on the ground and the lockers against the wall which all lead towards the vanishing point of the door. A design element I used was contrast. I used this by making every object of line in this drawing to point directly towards the vanishing point so the eye would ultimately focus on looking toward that point.
This is my one point perspective room drawing. It is suppose to be a bedroom. I drew this on paper with a pencil. One new skill I learned while drawing this was making a fan on the top of the ceiling. The main art element I used while making this was shape. I had to use shape to make objects in the room and take up the space that needed to be taken up. A design element I used was proportion and scale. Using this was easy as I made the walls parallel and the floors parallel.
This is my one point perspective drawing. It captures the eyes view of one side of an object such as the blocky letters. I used a pencil to draw it on paper. One new skill I learned in making this drawing was making 3D blocky letters. The main art element in this drawing is value. By drawing these blocky images I showed value to make the eye notice one side of a letter and make that pop out. It should make the viewer notice it's there. A design element I used in this drawing is movement. There is a distinct movement of the letters going one direction to pop out at the viewer easily. The darker lines make it appear closer to the viewer and lighter lines farther away.
This is my Parallel Confusion drawing. This is a drawing of cubes and different parallel lines. This was drawn on paper with a pencil. A new skill I learned while making this drawing was creating parallel lines to make cube figures. An art element I had in this drawing was value. I attempted to make it obvious that the lighter lines were in the background far away and the darker lines were closer to the person looking at it. This should make the person looking feel like the object is about to touch you. With value the viewer should see contrast between the different lines. Most of these block figures are going in front of or behind each other to throw the viewer off of what is going on.
The name of my drawing is Swirling Squares. The drawing looks like a bunch of circles swirling in a circle inward. This was drawn in pencil. I learned patience because it was extremely repetitive. One art element I used was space. I drew this on paper with a pencil. I had to measure out an inch between drawing lines so that i could have the perfect amount of space when drawing the lines together. It expresses a mood of illusion so that you get some what confused when looking at it. I used lines to create a pattern of squares swirling in a circle.
